About the 2019 Hidden City House & Garden Tour in Albany, NY
Center Square Association, Hudson/Park Neighborhood Association and Historic Albany Foundation are proud to present the 2019 Hidden City House & Garden Tour on Thursday, June 20 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. Every year, this tour brings the neighborhoods to life as homeowners open their doors and gardens to the public. Guests are able to tour, at their leisure, the beautiful and historic homes and hidden gardens that make up the Center Square, Hudson/Park and Washington Park neighborhoods. Residents of these neighborhoods open their homes and gardens for one night only.
Neighborhood restaurants, offering a great range of cuisines, along with charming shops, are part of the fun spirit that makes for a full evening in this unique locale. They offer specials and discounts to tour participants upon presentation of their ticket. A full listing and map is contained within the evening’s program/ticket.
Never been on the tour? Here’s how it works:
Once your tickets have been purchased, your name(s) will go on the prepaid guest list for the day of the tour. We cannot give out tickets (the tickets act as your map and program as well) ahead of time in order to maintain the privacy of the gracious homeowners that are opening up their homes and gardens to the public on the day of the tour.
On the day of the tour, tickets must be picked up (for the prepaid individuals) and can be purchased from 4-7 p.m. in front of Trinity Church (235 Lark Street) or inside Capital Wine & Liquor. Please note houses & gardens will not open until 5 p.m. The tour is a self-guided, go-at-your-own-pace, whatever-order-you-desire type tour! Most of the homes are within walking distance to one another.
Parking: Many people find parking on the streets off of Lark Street or in Washington Park. There are also pay-to-park lots on the corner of Hamilton and Swan Streets (you will have to come down Swan from Madison Ave. and enter from Swan St) and at 208 Washington Ave.
Special thanks to our tour sponsors!
We hope to see you at the tour!
All tickets nonrefundable. Tour happens rain or shine!
