The House, Garden, & History Tour offers history, garden, and architecture lovers a glimpse into Albany’s historic neighborhoods. This self-guided tour brings the neighborhood to life as homeowners open their doors and garden gates to the public. While you’re walking, pay attention to Spotlights on History, new for 2026, highlighting locations where women fought for the right to vote and where newly enfranchised women organized. Tickets are required for the Tour.
On the same day, take a leisurely stroll through Center Square, Hudson/Park, and Washington Park to experience the Stoop Stroll. Residents transform their stoops into one-of-a-kind displays that reflect each household’s personality. Vote for your favorites in the friendly neighborhood competition. Top stoops and blocks win prizes! Stroll registration is optional.
Tickets for the House, Garden, & History tour are $25 per person ($30 on the day of the event). The Stoop Stoll has a suggested donation of $10 per person. Parking
Many people find parking on the streets off of Lark Street or in Washington Park. There are also pay-to-park lots on the corner of Hamilton and Swan Streets (you will have to come down Swan from Madison Ave. and enter from Swan St) and at 208 Washington Ave.
